Best Yoga Instagrams to Follow
The weather is getting colder and here in the unpredictable and rainy UK we are already missing getting outside to do yoga in the sunshine, the living room just doesn’t have the same refreshing vibe, let’s be honest. Not to worry though, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite yoga themed Instagram accounts that are all about location, location, location; so even if you don’t have easy access to a deserted beach in southern California it kind of feels like maybe you do. (Sort of?)
Yoga instructor with our friends at TriYoga and author of some amazing books, Kino is one of our favourite yoga instagrammers. Her motivational posts put emphasis on the fact that yoga takes a lot of time and practise which is just what we need to hear sometimes when it feels like you’re making little or no progress. The locations vary between London one day, and Miami Beach or Vienna the next but the images are always gorgeous especially when Kino looks so happy to be there. Definitely worth following if you need a little motivation.
With 1.6 million followers, Rachel Brathen is one of the most popular yoginis on Instagram and it’s so easy to see why when looking at her feed. With the beautiful, clear Caribbean sea and regular photos of her adorable puppies, what more could you ask for? Rachel is currently launching what she’s described as “an online platform dedicated to healing with a foundation in yoga” called oneOeight on Kickstarter which looks like a brilliant project and something we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on to be huge.
Caitlin of @gypsetgoddess has really nailed yoga fashion, her images are often taken by the amazing @activefocus and we love keeping up with their travels around the US, How adorable are these glamping teepees in the Utah desert? Caitlin’s all about gorgeous photos and documenting her travels, providing your feed with some variety from yoga instructors and progress photos, although we love seeing those too.
The clue is in the title with this one, Kerri, aka @BeachYogaGirl can often be found teaching yoga on West Palm Beach in Florida. This makes for some gorgeous yoga Instagrams that make us want to give up city life and become a beach bum instead, our favourites are the sunset photos on the beach with amazing cloud formations. Kerri also teaches an online workshop with the previously mentioned @KinoYoga which you can get at: https://yogachallenge.com/
Jessica is based in Dubai and her white sands/aqua blue feed is broken up by inspiring progress pictures and cute quotes which is a refreshing change from experts who seem like they were born expert yogis and have never eaten fries in their life. Jessica also has an eBook called Lets Start Yoga which is a fantastic guide to help yogis of all levels progress, she shares the photos from fans on @letsstartyoga which is full of inspiring pictures from all around the world.
